Celebration 2012 Raises Over $100K

On Saturday, October 13, over 100 guests gathered at the Del Mar Country Club in Rancho Santa Fe, CA, for The Seany Foundation’s 5th Annual Everything Is Possible Celebration. The landmark event was our best yet, raising over $100,000 for childhood cancer research and patient care programs. During the event, donors helped TSF achieve its millionth dollar raised since fundraising efforts began in 2007!

Guests enjoyed delicious cocktails, live music by Palter Ego, a silent/live auction with exciting prizes, and a gourmet meal. In recognition of her ongoing dedication to the fight against childhood cancer, Ms. Lori Iaquinta received the Seany Community Service Award.

The evening’s highlights included a special ballroom dance demo by Kurt Popp and a special announcement by co-founder Mitch Robins that TSF had raised its millionth dollar to-date. Many guests left the clubhouse that evening with their arms full of goodies. The champagne drawing winner took home a new iPad, opportunity drawing winners took home gift certificates, and winning bidders took home hot items ranging from a Hawaiian vacation to his and hers snowboards.

The Seany Foundation would like to thank the following sponsors for making the event possible: Alfonsi Railroad; Barona Resort & Casino; CustomerCentricSelling; Dr. John Smoot; Eddy Pump; Kleinfelder; Lockton Insurance; Medical Center Pharmacy; Nikolai and Maria Tankovich; Terry and Janice Tervort; Variety, the Children’s Charity of Southern California; and WJ Bradley. For sponsorship and advertising opportunities at future events, please contact Amie Forte Kuznicki at [email protected].

Check out more event photos on Facebook. Photos can also be purchased at Baird Photography. Special thanks also go to our photographer extraordinaire, Daniel Baird.

Thank You, Sponsors!

Thank you to all those who sponsored a teen for this year’s Twilight Night! Thanks to you, we reached our goal of 100 tickets sponsored through Seany’s Sponsor-a-Kid (and Family) Program. Over 80 attendees from local hospitals (teens and their families) shared the theater with another 100 Seany supporters who came out for the fun! Click on the image below to read all about it. Hairless Potter Raises Over $14K

Thank you, Seany supporters! Your magic helped us raise over $14,000 at this year’s Hairless Potter Night.

Over 300 people attended Seany Movie Night at UltraStar Poway. Guests followed the red carpet to Theater 10, where they were among the first in San Diego to see Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2. KUSI and Fox News were there to cover all the excitement.

Seany’s Sponsor-a-Kid Program provided 100 complimentary tickets to young cancer patients and their families from local hospitals.

The costume contest boasted young participants dressed as the Weasley brothers, Tonks, Muggles, Dementors, creative versions of Harry Potter, and many more. Winners took home prizes ranging from an iPod to Harry Potter Legos to official HP7 posters to free smoothies at Jamba Juice.

The winner of the evening’s drawing was announced online after the event: #661895. The winner can claim the prize by calling 858-551-5885 or emailing [email protected]org.

The next Seany Movie Night is scheduled for November 17. For more photos from the event, check out Seany’s Flickr Photostream.

Sex and the City 2 Benefits Pediatric Cancer Research

On Wednesday, May 26, over 200 fabulously-dressed ladies (and a few lucky gents) attended The Seany Foundation’s Ladies Night Out at the Movies at Ultra Star Del Mar Highlands.  Guests warmed up at the pre-show soiree with a complimentary glass of wine and a wonderful spread generously donated by Rype Catering.  The pre-show raffles sent home lucky winners with VIP tickets to our next movie night, $100 in La Jolla restaurant certificates, and an exclusive Jet-Rhys salon package.  Glamour Awards were also distributed to the most stylish ladies of the evening.  Thanks to our generous guests in attendance, Ladies’ Night Out raised over $8000 for The Seany Foundation’s pediatric cancer research funds and local patients care projects.

GOOD SPORTS: A special thanks to our Chairman of the Board, Bill “Charlotte” Siegel, and survivor Chris Ramirez, our very own “Mr. Big”.  Check out more photos of our lovely guests at Seany’s Flickr Photostream.
