Seany Movie Night Packs Mad Fun

On Friday, March 5, Alice in Wonderland in 3D delighted guests at Seany Movie Night at UltraStar Del Mar Highlands.  The charity screening raised over $7500.  Costume contest winners took home gift certificates and authentic movie posters, and each participant earned a free Jamba Juice smoothie just for entering.  For photos of the fabulous costumes, check out our Flickr Photostream.  If you missed the excitement this time around, get ready for our Sex and the City 2 Soiree coming up in May, and of course, our huge Hairless Potter Night coming in November!

HOG Annual Toy Drive and More Holiday Fun

Yes, despite the rain, over 100 big-hearted bikers from Biggs Harley Davidson North County and San Diego Chapters showed up on Saturday, Dec. 12 at Rady Children’s Hospital to deliver toys collected in their annual toy drive for the kids.  H1N1 precautions kept the kids from grabbing the toys in person this year, but our HOG friends made sure to leave tons of wonderful gifts for them to enjoy this holiday season!

After emptying their “sleds”, these holiday do-gooders went to Applebee’s to fill up their tummies at Dining to Donate, an event to benefit The Seany Foundation.  Our congratulations to our HOG friends for a job very well done!  You can check out some more snapshots of the Toy Drive at the Seany Flickr Photostream.

Eat out at Applebee’s Tomorrow with HOG

Join our friends from Biggs Harley Davidson after their annual toy drive at Rady Children’s Hospital for some warm food and even warmer company at Applebee’s on Balboa Avenue anytime from 10:30am-5pm.  Print out the flyer and bring it in, and Applebee’s will donate 15% of your check!

Twilight Night Rolls Out the Red Carpet

On Thursday, November 21, The Seany Foundation rolled out the red carpet for some very special guests at Seany Movie Night.  Kids and their families from Somfab, a teen patient group at Rady Children’s Hospital’s Hematology/Oncology wing, joined Seany Foundation supporters in line to see the special early screenings of Twilight: New Moon at 7pm and 7:30pm.

Ticket holders to this special event flocked to the Ultra Star Del Mar Highlands to be among the first in San Diego to see the film and snacked on popcorn, candy, hot dogs, and soda.  CEO Mitch Robins welcomed guests and announced the raffle winners, who took home 2 VIP tickets to the next early screening.  CAO Amy Robins thanked guests as they exited down the red carpet and stopped at the Seany Table for more information about the Foundation after the screenings.

This Seany Movie Night raised $13,200.  Monies benefit various Seany Foundation projects underway to help improve the lives of kids battling cancer and to find cures for childhood cancers.

Thank you to all who attended and all who sponsored seats for the evening’s special guests from RCHSD.  Stay tuned to The Seany Foundation website for more information on our upcoming events.  The next Seany screening is scheduled for March 2010 and will include a costume contest and prizes.
