Celebration 2012 Raises Over $100K

On Saturday, October 13, over 100 guests gathered at the Del Mar Country Club in Rancho Santa Fe, CA, for The Seany Foundation’s 5th Annual Everything Is Possible Celebration. The landmark event was our best yet, raising over $100,000 for childhood cancer research and patient care programs. During the event, donors helped TSF achieve its millionth dollar raised since fundraising efforts began in 2007!

Guests enjoyed delicious cocktails, live music by Palter Ego, a silent/live auction with exciting prizes, and a gourmet meal. In recognition of her ongoing dedication to the fight against childhood cancer, Ms. Lori Iaquinta received the Seany Community Service Award.

The evening’s highlights included a special ballroom dance demo by Kurt Popp and a special announcement by co-founder Mitch Robins that TSF had raised its millionth dollar to-date. Many guests left the clubhouse that evening with their arms full of goodies. The champagne drawing winner took home a new iPad, opportunity drawing winners took home gift certificates, and winning bidders took home hot items ranging from a Hawaiian vacation to his and hers snowboards.

Celebration 2011 Raises Over $80K for Childhood Cancer

On Saturday, September 17, over 100 guests attended The Seany Foundation’s 4th Annual Everything Is Possible Celebration at the Birch Aquarium at Scripps in LaJolla, CA. Guests enjoyed cocktails, gourmet cuisine, live entertainment, live/silent auctions, and an opportunity drawing, all while helping raise over $80,000 for pediatric cancer research and patient-care projects!

Guests were also treated to the unique and spectacular lighting of BlissLights, who graciously donated their time and professional lighting to illuminate the entranceway that guests passed through on their way to the Tide Pool Terrace, where they enjoyed cocktails and a front row view of the stunning orange and purple sunset against the gorgeous and vast Pacific Ocean.

Once the sun went down, sister pop duo Ruby Summer gave a spirited live performance, and guests browsed enticing silent auction items, which ranged from a magnum of fine wine to an autographed guitar from the famous rock band Heart.

At the end of the silent auction, guests headed inside to their tables, which were festively named after exotic fish and decorated with bright blue and green tablecloths and soft, flickering candlelight. Shortly thereafter, plates adorned with the gourmet creations of Jeffrey Strauss of Pamplemousse Grille were placed in front of each guest to experience.

Next, The Seany Foundation Co-founders Mitch and Amy Robins took to the stage to officially welcome guests for their attendance and support. Afterward, hip-hop artist Urbalist gave a powerful performance, highlighting the struggles of teens and young adults battling cancer. The rapper and cancer survivor also took the opportunity to shine the spotlight on this year’s Seany Community Service award recipient Ben C. Weinrib and his charitable works.

Following his acceptance speech, Ben drew the winning ticket in the Champagne Promotion – the winner was to take home a 32″ LCD TV. In true Seany spirit, the lucky winner donated the TV he had just won to a young cancer patient in attendance.

Auctioneer Steve Hamann then began what turned out to be a very exciting live auction! As quickly as Steve could get out the words, guests were raising their bid numbers to snatch up exotic travel packages, a Chargers package that included lunch or dinner with Safety Steve Gregory, and an exclusive golf package. Supporters continued to show their unbridled support during Raise the Paddle, generously donating over $7,000 to support The Seany Foundation’s current research and patient programs.

Finally, dessert and coffee were served and the Co-founders wrapped up the evening by announcing the opportunity drawing winners. The lucky winner of the coveted iPad2 happened to be a young guest who was celebrating the 14th anniversary of her adoption!

There is no doubt that this year’s “Everything Is Possible” Celebration was a success and that folks showed their true colors and desire to make a difference in the lives of kids and teens with cancer. For this, we are endlessly thankful. Celebration 2010 Raises Over $80K

On Sunday, October 10, over 150 guests attended the 3rd Annual Everything Is Possible Celebration held at the San Diego Hall of Champions in Balboa Park.  The jovial evening began with a cocktail reception and silent auction upstairs, where most of the action centered around a coveted Opera Gallery print.  Following the welcome reception, guests entered the main hall and enjoyed music by Ruby Summer, gourmet comfort food by Jeffrey Strauss and Pamplemousse Grille, and the warm, fuzzy feeling you get from knowing that all monies donated go directly to help kids who are battling cancer.

The evening was a celebration of Sean’s life and of his legacy.  The Seany Foundation awarded Mr. Bill Siegel with the Seany Community Service Award for his outstanding dedication to the cause.  Dr. William Roberts also attended and spoke about The Seany Foundation’s current research projects.  Celebration 2010 successfully raised over $80,000 thanks to the generosity of its sponsors, its guests, and those unable to attend, who sent in donations.

Join us for the Celebration this Sunday!

This Sunday, October 10, The Seany Foundation will be hosting the 3rd Annual Everything Is Possible Celebration at the San Diego Hall of Champions in Balboa Park from 5pm-8pm.  Proceeds benefit pediatric cancer research and patient care projects.  This year’s event will honor Mr. William Siegel with the Seany Community Service Award.

This not-to-be-missed party boasts auction items such as a studio tour and meet-n-greet with Katie Couric, an on-the-set visit with Danny DeVito, a private dinner for 8 at Pamplemousse Grille, and much, much more!

The evening kicks off with cocktails, gourmet hors d’oeuvres, and a silent auction; and follows with a special performance by Ruby Summer, a strolling dinner, a live auction, and an opportunity drawing.  Festive fare will be provided by none other than Seany Board member Jeffrey Strauss of Pamplemousse Grille.  Tease your tastebuds with a sneak peek at the evening’s menu.
