Temple Solel Trikes Against Cancer

On Wednesday, May 16, preschoolers at Temple Solel Early Childhood Center jumped on their tricycles and did laps to help fight childhood cancer! The Trike-a-Thon donated proceeds to The Seany Foundation. The tikes, in turn, learned about Mitzvahs and helping others in need. Thanks, Temple Solel students and teachers, for riding to help end pediatric cancer! Check out the next generation of do-gooders in action:

Countdown to Celebration 2010

Kids Helping Kids

A huge thanks goes out to young Noah Baird and friends for hosting the first-ever lemonade stand/snack stop to benefit The Seany Foundation!  Noah and his friends teamed up on July 11 to help us raise awareness and funds for pediatric cancer.

Noah’s mom, Becky Baird, writes, “I wanted to share the most beautiful part of our Lemonade Stand Day.  (We learned a lot and next month when we do it again, we will have a REALLY BIG SEANY SIGN!!)  The kids had the best day, smiling, giggling, rocking out to music…super fun. As cars came by, one lady stopped her black SUV and two sweet 10 year old girls (roughly) quickly popped out of the car. The mom followed them across the street. As the girls told our kids what they wanted, the mom asked me what the proceeds were going to. As I told the mom and two young girls, the first girl said she lost a sibling to cancer, and the other girl said her brother had died of cancer as well.  Well, I was moved to chills and tears. I could see the mom was emotional as well, obviously.  The mom had lost her son, the sisters brother, to cancer and the two young girls were friends… It was so moving and really made us realize that we were doing something great!”

Inspired by Noah?  If you’d like to host your own event to benefit childhood cancer research, just email us at [email protected] or call 800-794-8282.

Seany’s Poker Tournament Rules and Regulations

Tournament is limited to 66 players.  The tournament is a timed event from approximately 7pm-10pm.

Seat assignments: Each player will randomly draw a table/seat card from the Tournament Director prior to the tournament.

Each Player will start with $10,000 in chips (10, 6, 6).  (10 White =$1000), (6 Red =$3000), (6 Black =$6000).

The blinds increase every 20 minutes or as deemed by the Tournament Director.  This is a flexible blind and time table depending on the action and the time restraints of the tournament.

Re-buys are available for the first hour of the Tournament.  After that, Add-ons, which you do not need to be out of chips to purchase, will be available.  If a player does go out at the end of the hand with the last Re-buy, he/she will be able to do both options and have double the amount of chips at that time.

As players are eliminated, there will be a sit’n’go poker table available for play with the use of casino games chips; poker tournament chips will not accepted at this table. Any leftover poker chips may be redeemed for raffle tickets.

Best of luck to you all!
