Kids Thirsty to Help Other Kids

Twin Cousins Hunter and Daniel Greenspan (6.5 like Noah) joined Noah and Talia (4.5) Baird in Carslbad, CA. They raised money and donated earnings to TSF!

This summer, our good friend Noah Baird, hosted another lemonade stand. And once again, he donated a portion of profits to The Seany Foundation, to help kids who are battling cancer. This time, he enlisted his cousins who were visiting from NY.

Complete with an ipod and speakers, their lemonade stand attracted the attention of drivers-by (mostly due to the wonderful dancing accompanying the music). The Seany Foundation salutes Noah and his growing gang of lemonade sellers for their continued support in the battle against pediatric cancer! Way to go, kiddos!

Thanks to Temple Solel Early Childhood Center

A very special thanks goes out Noah Baird and The Kadima Bet class of 2011 from Temple Solel Early Childhood Center. They spent some time thinking about what they wanted to do with the Tzedakah they earned this year.

After several suggestions, they agreed that giving their class Tzedakah to The Seany Foundation would make everyone happy and proud. In addition, Kadima Alef and Kadima Bet joined Noah and his Mom, Becky, to host a lemonade stand to raise funds for pediatric cancer research. Thank you to Becky Cherlin Baird, Sharon Segal, and the teachers and kids of Temple Solel’s ECC Kadima, Class of 2011, for making a difference! You’re off to a bright start!

Kids Helping Kids

A huge thanks goes out to young Noah Baird and friends for hosting the first-ever lemonade stand/snack stop to benefit The Seany Foundation!  Noah and his friends teamed up on July 11 to help us raise awareness and funds for pediatric cancer.

Noah’s mom, Becky Baird, writes, “I wanted to share the most beautiful part of our Lemonade Stand Day.  (We learned a lot and next month when we do it again, we will have a REALLY BIG SEANY SIGN!!)  The kids had the best day, smiling, giggling, rocking out to music…super fun. As cars came by, one lady stopped her black SUV and two sweet 10 year old girls (roughly) quickly popped out of the car. The mom followed them across the street. As the girls told our kids what they wanted, the mom asked me what the proceeds were going to. As I told the mom and two young girls, the first girl said she lost a sibling to cancer, and the other girl said her brother had died of cancer as well.  Well, I was moved to chills and tears. I could see the mom was emotional as well, obviously.  The mom had lost her son, the sisters brother, to cancer and the two young girls were friends… It was so moving and really made us realize that we were doing something great!”

Kudos to Individual Fundraisers

Check out some great ideas Seany’s friends have come up with to help raise funds to combat pediatric cancer:

Becky Baird and Kids on Stage Productions Theatrical Workshop

On May 23, Steven Glickman, star of Nickelodeon’s hit show Big Time Rush, taught a performance workshop to over 30 kids ages 8-18.  The special class raised over $400 for The Seany Foundation.  Thank you, Becky and friends!

Kristie Schaufele and the San Diego Rock’n’Roll Marathon

A special thanks to Kristie, a mom of 3, wife, and Director of Operations for Tutorial Services, who generously sought out sponsors for her upcoming race.  Kristie is raising money online through Firstgiving.com.  Be sure to cheer her on during the world-renowned marathon on June 6.  You, too, can set up your own Fundraising page to benefit The Seany Foundation.  Just email [email protected] to ask us how!

Have another great idea to help raise funds for our cause?  We’d love to hear it!  Email us at [email protected] or call (800)794-8282.

Last night’s Everything Is Possible Celebration ’09 served up smiles.  Guests took home prized possessions from our silent auction, live auction, and opportunity drawing.  There was also many a laugh coming from the Blue photo booth.

Attendees even got to mingle with special guests Assemblywoman Lori Saldana and pro-skater Willy Santos.

Special thanks go to Jeffrey Strauss for the delicious cuisine, Chris Daily for the complimentary caricatures, and Daniel Baird for his photographic skills.  More photos to come…
