Mr. Siegel is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of The Kleinfelder Group, Inc.
(Kleinfelder), an employee-owned science and engineering consulting firm providing
solutions to meet our world's complex infrastructure and natural resource challenges.
Headquartered in San Diego, Kleinfelder is one of the country's top 50 architecture
and design firms, and ranks in the top 100 of all global design firms. Kleinfelder
perennially ranks in the top five in size of privately held firms that are headquartered
in San Diego.
In his role as CEO, Mr. Siegel is responsible for the overall performance, strategy
development and execution, and positioning of the firm. He has provided technical
and managerial services for Kleinfelder for over 23 years, with varying past assignments
in line management, and program based assignments including supervision of company-wide
marketing, communications and program management groups.
Mr. Siegel was raised Northern Nevada and graduated with Bachelors (1984) and Masters
(1986) degrees in Civil Engineering from the University of Nevada at Reno. He has
authored a variety of technical papers on topics ranging from polymer-modified asphalts
to deep foundations, and he has presented at national and international conferences.
He has completed additional educational coursework related to business administration
including the Advanced Executive Program at Northwestern's Kellogg School of Management.
Professionally, Mr. Siegel has served on various Boards and committees, including
roles with the California Geotechnical Engineers Association and the American Council
of Engineering Companies. He is a sought-after speaker on business issues, particularly
with regard to merger and acquisitions strategies and execution.
Mr. Siegel actively participates in a variety of charitable organizations and is
acting Chairman of the Board for The Seany Foundation, focusing on pediatric cancer.
Recently, he completed a term as President of the Governing Board of a charter high
school. Bill is married with two sons, and relaxes with a variety of interests including
individual (golf, snowboarding, and wakeboarding) and team sports, outdoor activities
(hiking, fishing), informational reading, and gardening and other home improvements.
